  • Surf preference information you save, such as spot selections, surf window preferences, wave height ranges, condition thresholds, and alert timing selections.

  • Basic account records associated with your login, including internal user ID, email address, timezone, onboarding status, and related profile metadata.

Surf Alert and Preference Data

  • Saved spot preferences and alert settings.
  • Forecast evaluation data used to determine whether an alert should be sent.
  • Alert history and notification delivery records, including timestamps and provider message identifiers.

Technical and Usage Information

  • Request metadata, device or browser information, IP-address-related server logs, and similar operational telemetry generated when you use the service.
  • Authentication and session data stored in cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure the service.

  • Supabase, for authentication and application data infrastructure;
  • Resend and related email delivery infrastructure, for transactional surf alert emails;
  • hosting, website, and deployment providers needed to run the service.

  • if required by law, subpoena, court order, or similar legal process;
  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of SurfWindow, our users, or others;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain account functionality, deliver alerts, keep business and security records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
